Program: Branch Manager Ennerdale Office | Date: from 15 October 2012 - 30 March 2016

I started working at Conquest For Life in October 2012 as a Volunteer and with learning and open mind and the support from the team and the director I was promoted to being a branch manager in March 2013 I was very fortunate I got to go and study Social Auxiliary worker course at IQ institute.

We started the course and it was 5 of us I was the only 1 who completed the course and Graduated in 2014. it was an eye opening and I got to learn more about the social work field which made my job easier and enjoyable. We went to different workshops and we recruited most of the court to refer Diversion participants. Report writing, facilitating being a Mediator was part of my growth. we had to train new staff members and report to the director and have monthly and yearly report that was to teach us being accountable and able to run meetings or attend workshops and report back to the director.

Conquest For Life was a home to me I found a place none like any other place we got an opportunity at the young age of 22 years old Conquest For Life is a place where I found myself after losing my parent I never thought I am capable of such but the organisation saw more than I anticipated.

2014 I joined the program to do anger management classes in a juvenile prison in trial and sentenced inmates at three different prisons until I was allocated in a nearby prison in Vereeniging and I ran the program for a year we had -+ 40 Inmates for 3 months as we were only allowed once in a week and our program had 8 sessions it was very fruitful as most of the inmates changed their doing and it also eliminated the conflict in the holding cells. I enjoyed every day I wouldn't want to do anything else besides being a facilitator and being part of the team our programs didn't only help participants but also us it helped with self-esteem, goal setting and problem-solving.
