The !Xu and Khwe youth of the Northern Cape Province Of SA risk being left out of the main stream development process. Conquest For Life has forged relationships with the two communities aimed at developing the leadership of young people from these communities.
The programme has already trained over 20 young people in Lifeskills and Leadership, Conflict resolution, mediation, teambuilding, computers and qualities to improve your life style.
The !Xu and Khwe Leadership Project focusses on:
Preventing drug and alcohol abuse,
Preventing unnecessary conflicts between parents and children
Strengthening relationships between parents and children and proomoting positive self- image and strong personal and social values among the !Xu and Khwe youths.
The target group are youth from the !Xu and Khwe Community, The memebers of the !Xu and Khwe Youth Committee, young people from Conquest For Life to act as mentors for the !Xu and Khwe youth.
Activities include and is not limited to a three week lifeskills camp, three weeks basic computer training, two weeks experiential learning at Conquest For Life's Head Office, one year Mentorship programme and a three month practical corporate training and experience.
