“First GIBS (Gordon Institute of Business Studies) Night of Social Entrepreneurs Success Stories

Eighteen months ago GIBS established the Colloquium for Social Entrepreneurs. Social Entrepreneurs are individuals who are social change agents, they resolve social problems with a rare efficiency and ingenuity. They add value to their communities and opportunities for others to fulfil their own dreams – they only see the positives in life and want to make the world a better place for all.

GIBS has recognised and awarded the following people in these four newly created categories;

The award panel consisted of Ferial Haffajee of the Mail and Guardian, Zohra Dawood of Open Society Foundation of SA and Futhi Mthoba, Chairperson of Deloitte.

GIBS also launched a new publication “The Social Entrepreneur” and a compendium of case studies entitled “From Diamonds to Dust”.
